Fort Worth Stock Yards

Hey everyone,
Here are a few pictures from our weekend excursion to the Fort Worth Stock Yards. It is basically a tourist attraction downtown that was really neat to see. We took a day trip there Saturday and saw Longhorn cattle and as many western stores as you could imagine. The mission was to find the cheapest coolest cowboy hats....and I think we did. Tom got a sheriff badge that has is name on it too.. We heard a lot of country music, checked out the cute western jail...and saw a real cattle run...although it was barely a run. The Stock Yards are also home to the biggest country bar in the world "Billybobs". I hope you are enjoying these pictures. I will keep adding more as I go along!
See yall later!

Fort Worth Stock Yards

This is how it looks in the Stock Yards. There is cobblestone roads and western buildings everywhere. It made us really feel like we were in a western movie. There were even cows tied up on the sidewalks!

Welcome to Texas!!

The catch of the day!

We didn't do it!

Trying to get the perfect cowboy gear was a lot of work...It isn't easy finding the right fit....
Too BIG!!!

too big...

The perfect fit!!!

There's a different breed out here that has cool long horns!

The daily cattle run (ur...walk) is one of the main attractions at the Fort Worth Stock Yards.

People standon the sidewalks as they watch the cattle pass by. This happens twice every day and the bulls do anything but hussle!

The longhorns nearing the finish.

Fort Worth TEXAS!!! Stop Number 1

Well, my trip has begun! I got up early on Sunday, July 17th and made it to the airport to catch a 6am flight!!! It was a long day of travelling! I arrived in Dallas/Fort Worth and was greeted by Tom and the extremely hot weather! I cannot believe how hot it is here. You almost have to laugh about it because it is like someone turned a thermostat all the way up and left it there....and I am told it gets hotter yet...I don't know how that is possible! But it is a nice change from the praire rain! Well everyone this is my first post and I hope that you enjoy this blog! I will try my best to put interesting pictures up about what I am doing throughout this year! Thank you to everyone who has supported me in making this move. I couldn't have done it without you!
