Adventures at Sea

Today's adventure kind of ended up in our laps! We decided to hop into the Sheraton resort and bask in the sun for beach day. As we laid taking in the wonderful atmosphere, we were approached by a Hobbie Cat tour to rent the boat for an hour. Bunnie decided it was something we should do and took us all out on the water. The water was rough and the boat was pretty much made of a mesh bottom, letting the water splash up and get us really wet. We sailed and swam in the middle of the ocean. It was amazing...I am so glad that I was able to get some pictures to share my day with you all. Enjoy taking a peak at one of my favorite days here yet!

Going for a ride. The water was warm like a tub today and the waves splashed the salty water onto our faces as we sailed along the bay. The water was rough and we got soaked.....and loved every minute of it. It was one of those moments...I am sure I'll remember it forever!

Bunnie and Kim on the boat.

Maxin and relaxin as we get soaked by the oncoming waves!

Taking a dive off of the hobbie cat. A little uneasy about my first swim in the great wide open ocean.....but it was incredible!

Thumbs up! No sharks!

Getting back on the boat!!!! Easier said than done!

Happy dog rides the bus! Please don't jump!

My furry friend! Meet Prestley! What a cute dog...... but yappy! I dog sat for a friend and exposed this little guy to the life on the bus! I think he loved it! haha

When it rains....it pours! ! ! . . . . . and things of all shapes and sizes appear out of no where. Look what showed up on my front apartment step! Aye chi wow wow!

One of our last dinners together. (tear) Here we are at Bogarts....It was such a unique place to eat. We rested our feet on little pillows as we sat and ate. A must see if visiting Vallarta!

Our back yard to our rental.

Me in front of our bungalow...

Palapa Joe's, Manzinilla.....home base for the adventure down the coast.

There was an alligator protection habitat near the beach were we stayed. The alligators were really really huge and the fence between us and them was really really....... thin!

The beach we kayaked to fromour beach. We were told it was a nice Kayakride away.....try 5 miles! It was a great day to be out on the water though and the scenery was well worth the sore muscles! We arrived on the deserted beach only to find out that it was the beach were El Tamarindo Golf Course and Resort are located. It is supposedly one of the best golf courses in the world. Apparently it costs about 600 US per night to stay and 300-400 for a round of golf.....wish that were in pesos!

Would you believe me if I told you this was our rental???? Okay so we actually had something called a Verna.... we aren't really sure if it was a Hyundai or Dodge....When in Mexico...

La Manzinilla from up in the mountains.

La Manzinilla beach from the water....

The beach early in the morning in La Manzinilla.....before the rush of Guadalajarans arrive for their day trip.

This is the campground onLa Manzinilla beach. . . Can we say 5 star accomodations?! We couldn't believe the things people camped in..... can you say 4 sheets and 4 poles with an amazing sunroof .... who says that can't be a tent?! Yes.... in Mexico, anything goes!

Surfing in Barra De Navidad.....amazing!

Look closely.....YEP that's ME! Up Up and AWAY!!! whooohoooo
Surfing in Barra de Navidad was a highlight of the Coastal adventure!
(You can always zoom if you can't see me!)

The Volcano in Colima....apparently the biggest one in North and Central America. We drove up the scariest little grid road trying to get to it.....this is as close as we got!!!! It was amazing watching it let out little puffs of smoke....we thought it was errupting! Haha
